Ally hummed as she padded along the stream. It was a great day at the forest, and the small caracal sat down by a tree to rest for a while. Just when she was about to fall asleep, she heard the chirp of a bird. She immediately pricked up her ears, sprang up and unsheathed her claws. Ally turned towards direction where the sound came from, and found out that it was a starling. Without hesitation the she leaped up towards the small bird. The starling failed to escape from the caracal's claws, and when Ally landed on the ground it was already dead, and clamped in her jaws. Satisfied, Ally padded back to the tree and bit into her piece of plump, juicy prey.

Ghost had been wandering nearby, looking around for the cure. Sadly, no luck. The odd-colored tom let out a dejected sigh, about to turn back, when he heard sudden movement nearby. He flew into a defensive crouch, them approached the noise carefully.

Catching the scent of another cat, Ally stop eating and looked around to see if anyone was there. Without noticing Ghost, she continued biting into her prey.

Ghost WAS planning on being all stealthy and ninja like, maybe to come in from behind what he deemed a predator, even though he couldn't really see she was but a caracal, but, of course, that didn't happen. Instead, it was his own good fortune that he tripped over one end of his scarf, which sent him flying towards Ally.

Ally turned around her head, and let out a surprised yowl. Her eyes widened as Ghost flew towards her, and she quickly dodged away from him. She then pinned the tom down immediately after he had landed, and drew back her lips in a snarl. "You!?" she hissed after recognizing the odd-looking cat.

Ghost was only slightly startled. As Ally pinned him, he hoped that his virus didn't react threatening to her. But then he, too, caught a moment of recognition. "Oh, it's just you. Uh, hi?"

Ally reduced the pressure of her paw a little bit so that the tom could breathe normally. She then scanned him over to make sure he was really that cat she had met before. Her gaze was then locked upon the blue bottle which Ghost wore around his neck. "What's that?"

"What's what?" Ghost asked. When he realized she was staring at the vial he wore, he jolted upright, pushing himself out of Ally's grasp. He then yanked down on his scarf to cover it. "Uh, well.. there isn't any logical explanation for it.."

Ally narrowed her eyes. "'No logical explanation', huh?" she replied coldly, then gulped down the last of the starling she had caught. With a quick glance at the vial around Ghost's neck she shot towards the tom, and tore the fragile blue glass away from his neck. Clamping the piece of string attached to the vial tightly in her jaws, the small caracal quickly ran away from Ghost. "Catch me if you can!" she shouted as she dashed away as fast as her legs could carry her.

Ghost's eyes widened as she dashed off with the vial. Oh, he would've given chase if he could, but... He staggered forward, before faceplanting in the snow.

Hearing Ghost falling down, Ally skidded to a halt. She then padded back to where the tom was, and prodded him with a forepaw. "Hello?" she dropped the vial next to him, worry beginning to cloud her eyes.

Ghost opened one of his eyes partially, before touching the vial with some effort. The liquid glowed with his touch, then moved itself back onto his neck. With a soft groan, he staggered upright. "Do... n't run... off with the vial." he hissed between winced pants.

Ally sighed in relief as Ghost showed a bit of movement. "What's so special about it?" she asked, eyeing the vial, though she did not dare touching it again.

Ghost started slightly, then sighed. "No use hiding the truth anymore," he muttered softly. "That vial is both life and death for me. Both literal and metaphorical. But it may be too complicated to explain completely, and would take some time.. but I guess you never learned of my past, have you? We only met for a brief time, after all.."

Ally nodded. "I've always been curious," she said, looking straight into Ghost's eyes. "You're so different from the average cat." she said, staring at the tom's green stripes and eyes; one black, and white the other. "You must have a complicated past," she whispered, soft yet clearly.
